Berean Baptist Church was founded in 1937 in Houston, Texas. Initially located in the Heights area, the church relocated to North Houston near Greenspoint in the 1970s. Over the years, we’ve maintained a strong commitment to serving and engaging with the North Houston community through both our worship services and outreach programs.

While we’ve experienced many seasons of change, one thing has remained constant: the faithful work of Jesus Christ. He continues to remind us that His mission is not yet complete, and He is still growing His Kingdom in North Houston.

As a growing bilingual church, we celebrate the diversity of our congregation, united in faith and purpose. Our worship services and sermons are offered in both English and Spanish every week.

With hearts full of love and faith, we eagerly serve the Lord and look forward to the bright future He has planned for both our church and the community we serve.

BEREAN
Why the name Berean? The name comes from the ancient city of Berea, mentioned in Acts 17 of the Bible. When the Apostle Paul traveled from city to city, preaching the good news of Jesus Christ and establishing churches, he often encountered skepticism. However, when he arrived in Berea and taught in the Jewish synagogue, the Bereans responded differently.

Scripture tells us they “received the word with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures daily to see if what Paul said was true.” As a result, many—both Jews and Greeks—came to believe in Jesus.

We are honored to carry the name Berean because we strive to embody that same spirit of devotion and discernment. Just like the Bereans of old, we approach God's Word with eagerness, examining it daily and receiving its truth with open hearts.
